The tea room nestles amongst trees in the garden of a former Victorian Railway Crossing Gatehouse. Originally known as 16 Gunthorpe, the Gatehouse served for around 75 years as part of the old M & GN railway line between Melton Constable to Fakenham and beyond until its closure in 1959.


The tea room is open Thursday to Sunday 11.am to 5pm from Good Friday through to the last Sunday in September, including Bank Holidays.


In addition, this North Norfolk tea room is available for small family gatherings such as birthdays, anniversaries and funeral teas with indoor seating for 24 and ample off road parking.


Apart from gazing at the stunning views of the beautiful North Norfolk countryside the visitor can find a collection of books on the old M & GN railway and general nostalgia plus local and national magazines with which to browse and enjoy alongside their tea and cake.


Visitors to our North Norfolk Tea Rooms are also able to the see the original signal box which stands proudly by the front gate.


Our fully refurbished, spacious 1 bedroom Mobile Home with probably the best view in Norfolk is now available for a unique Bed and Continental Breakfast £65 per night inclusive.
